PowerGroup Basketball

PowerGroup Basketball is a competitive youth sports organization located in the Kansas City area. Our purpose is to provide a foundation and structure for competitive basketball players to learn the fundamentals of the game and improve their individual skills. The goal for each player is to help them reach the next level of basketball.  We believe sports can teach many life lessons including work ethic, dedication, handling adversity and teamwork. The PowerGroup program will look for opportunities to emphasize and teach life lessons.

PowerGroup Basketball demands a high degree of ethical conduct by all coaches, players, volunteers and parents. We make every effort to lead by example and be a positive role model for the Kansas City community.

PowerGroup Basketball is a 501 (C) (3) organization. icon-acrobat  We are managed by a six person Board of Directors. Our coaches and staff are all volunteers so that all monies received will be reinvested back into our program.

Currently we have three basketball teams, 2017, 2019 and 2020. Our teams play in tournaments only and practice twice a week. We play in USSSA, AAU and MAYB tournaments. PowerGroup does participate in tournaments year round. However, we encourage and support players to participate in other sports.

Education and Community Service are two important parts of the PowerGroup program. Each player must maintain a 3.0 GPA for continued participation in tournaments. We support many Kansas City area organizations dedicated to helping children in difficult circumstances and will utilize basketball as a means to provide a positive experience. We encourage each PowerGroup player and family to participate in our community service events.
